Elie Saab
Two years ago, whilst researching fashion designers for an art project I stumbled across a designer I quickly fell madly in love with. This fashion god is Elie Saab. From the first collection I saw of his I knew he was special. His luxurious dresses are adorned with embellishment, stitching and lace to create expensive and unique looking pieces, and his tailoring is cut to perfection giving the best possible fit. Each garment if designed to emphasise a woman's curves, celebrating her figure rather than hiding it as some designers do. The way in which he draws in the waist, accentuating the bust and hips will immediately make any woman feel confident and empowered.
However I feel that his true talent is shown in his haute couture collections. These garments are enough to send any woman weak at the knees. What Saab does very well in his ready-to-wear collections, he exceeds in his couture. Models float down the runway in dresses filled with feathers, flowers, lace and crystals all showing the signs of perfection. And just when you thought that you had seen all that he had to offer, out comes the last model of the show wearing the most beautiful wedding dress ever created. Demonstrating the same exquisite craftsmanship as his other pieces but with something extra special, Saab's wedding dresses will leave you speechless. I'm starting saving for mine now!
